Karen, her husband Eric and 10 year old son Isaac found themselves stranded in a snowstorm on a trip to Grand Canyon. Fortunately Karen had taken a wilderness survival course prior to the trip which lead to a 26 mile hike through freezing temperatures that took 30 hours.
However, one wilderness survival expert claims that the decisions Karen had made were unsafe and that the situation could have been handled better.
